Overview
During your visit, you'll discover innovative farming techniques, hands-on demonstrations, a variety of farm animals, and one of the largest collections of tropical food plants in the U.S. You'll explore seven distinct growing regions and see practical methods used around the world to help farmers and urban gardeners tackle sustainability challenges. Learn how food moves from the field to the marketplace and how simple, effective solutions are making a difference to overcome hunger around the world.
The tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group’s pace. Please dress for the weather and consider bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, and drinking water. Since this is a walking tour, comfortable footwear is recommended. Golf carts are available for those who need assistance.
